Hi there! I'm Courtney—and I get it.
I spent my early career days feeling like I didn’t belong. There were many frustrating days that left me wondering why my peers and leaders ignored my new ideas. Feeling exhausted from advocating for another way, I’d pack up my generic office plants and multi-colored felt tip pens and move them to the next job.
After a brief stint in Arts Administration, I discovered Ethics & Compliance and spent more than a decade in that profession. But over time, I realized that compliance is just a super specialized form of strategy and operations so I transitioned to the Integrator seat. I’ve worked with everyone from solopreneurs to Fortune 10 behemoths. As an active thought leader in compliance, I’ve coached people in all stages of their careers to improve business processes, policies, and training to ensure that everyone’s on the same page and promote a culture where things are done right the first time.
I eventually realized there’s a whole world beyond Corporate America, so I took a leap into startups.
Forward-thinking startup culture allowed me to gain better self-awareness and led me to officially get diagnosed as a neurodivergent. I flourished when I focused on my strengths and built a role that steered clear of my weaknesses. I paired up with a Visionary, served in the Integrator seat, and made revolutionary ideas reality.
I’m a Dynamo and Enneagram Type 8 (The Challenger) whose Top 5 Strengths are Individualization, Relator, Strategic, Restorative, and Achiever. My favorite vegetable is salsa, I'm a huge fan of the Oxford comma, and I'm both a dog- and cat-person. (I also hate icebreakers.) I love that I’ve forged my superpowers, have become an expert-generalist, and get to use my array of in-depth knowledge and skills in ways that allow me to nimbly move throughout the business.
